We arrived at JaxPort by automobile. Jacksonville is close to home and one of my favorite ports because of the ease of getting there and parking. Embarkation is usually fairly easy at JAX. There were more people in the Diamond/Platinum/FTTF line than the regular lines. As a Platinum we had to wait and wait until our turn. Part of this is Carnival's greed for money by selling FTTF options which decreases the perks of their frequent cruiser program. I booked a Grand Suite, U76, for my wife and myself and the suite was ready when we got there around noon. Our room steward, Joanna, was great. I can't say enough positive things about her. The cruise went to Grand Turks, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau.

On the Grand Turks we have always hung around the pool close to Margaritaville, but this time we decided to see some of the countryside. We took the tram around the Grand Turks. The company tries to shove as many people into a tram as possible to the point of being uncomfortable.

Half Moon Cay, we rented a cabana. It was great and well worth the money for us. We were supplied with water, sodas, and snack food. We were in cabana #10 which was close to the restrooms and a short walk to lunch. The beach was less crowded from cabana 10-15.

Cabin Review

The Grand Suite was comfortable and we really enjoyed the balcony.
