33rd cruise for us, 3rd time on the Summit. Couple in our late 50's and we booked this cruise since it's less than 2 hours from our home.
Cape Liberty port is a little haphazard due to the construction but all went well; arrived at 11am and was on the ship in 20 minutes. Usually we book veranda/balcony but the small price difference put us in Aqua Class. Well worth the couple of dollars extra starting with the priority booking and the exclusive use of the Blu Restaurant.
Ship is still clean and well appointed after all these years but of course not as loaded with the gimmicks the newest ships have. Ate at Normandie once since it was offered at 1/2 price but not good enough to pay the full $45.00 pp. We dined every morning and evening at Blu. No reservations ever and never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated. This made the entire cruise dining experience pleasurable.
Yes Aqua Class should be booked if it is close in price to a regular balcony. All of the little perks are nice but would not be missed except for eating in the Blu restaurant
