This was our first cruise and we chose a short 7 day one as a taster. The organisation was very good on arrival at Barcelona we were met by a representative and everything was taken care of right up until embarkation. We had been advised to take a change of clothes in our hand luggage to change into for e.g.; the pool as it was a couple of hours until we were able to get into our rooms and access our luggage. This in understandable when you remember how many people there are both arriving and departing that day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our cabin host Winsome was really helpful and any problems were quickly rectified. Food in the buffet was not piping hot but there was a good choice and considering the numbers catered for was good. As with all cruises excursions and alcohol were expensive but these can be paid for up front prior to the holiday. In the rooms you have an interactive TV and you can keep on top of your onboard spending so as not to have a nasty surprise at the end of your trip. I would recommend having a credit card or debit card that does not charge for overseas spending or conversion as everything is in dollars and RC will convert it for you to Sterling but at a cost of 3% !!!!! however your card services also charge this! The entertainment was fabulous and varied. There was a storm one night of the sailing but you wouldn't have noticed unless you saw it as the ship did not move that much. Formal nights in the dinning room you needed to be dressed smartly but did not have to wear a DJ or cocktail dress so it depends on what you want.

Despite lots of children being onboard and the amount of people you honestly would not have realised.

We will be booking another holiday again with RC and more than likely a longer trip.

Cabin Review

Good choice of midships, this meant that any rolling or yawing was kept to a minimum and any bad weather was not noticed as much! Clean and always kept tidy. Great cabin host Winsome she was great.
