My first cruise ever was on RCCL back in 2003 - on Voyager of the Seas. We loved it. Had a great time, and have cruised 15 times since (Princess, Celebrity, Carnival), and never with RCCL again - because we shop on itinerary and date...and Princess has offered better itineraries for the timeframes we want to travel.

This was a girl’s trip and there were 5 of us - all of us but 1 had cruised before. From the moment I got to my statement this cruise DISAPPOINTED. At first I liked the ship - it is quite small. but the stateroom was horrendous. First off - I have never had to FIND my room steward. I have always been greeted by my cabin steward - not this trip - I had to seek him out and the communication was awful. Our room was not set up properly (I never understand why cruise lines ask for this information before you board when they don't pay attention to it)....we were 3 people to our LARGE (HA) Interior cabin (I would hate to see the non-large interior room). There were supposed to be 2 twins and a SOFA bed. First off - SOFA? it was a chair. We tried to figure it out - and couldn't get it to make into the bed. We asked the room steward to remove the table and chair from the room to give us a bit more space - that was a fight...he finally agreed to take it out. He insisted there was nowhere to store these items. We were told that the steward would set up the "bed" while we were at dinner and take it down when we were at breakfast. Well the first time it was set up - we discovered: you can't open drawers once the bed is set up. Your also can't get out of bed without having to climb over the bed. This is a massive fire/safety hazard....I have no idea how this design is deemed ok or safe. So we were somehow supposed to have 3 people get ready in the morning for breakfast with this bed set up?? While not being able to get to the bathroom without climbing over the bed, and not being able to open any of the drawers. Needless to say - this DOESN"T WORK. We told him to take the bed down, bring extra bedding (He never did) and we didn't want that to be set up ever again. We ended up finding the "double" bedding under the beds - so my friend made quite a nice feather bed on the floor in the middle of the 2 twin beds.

IF they are going to sell these rooms for more than 2 people - they need more closet space! The closets are TINY. I am used to Princess closets which are the entire length of a hallway - it isn't enclosed...but you have much more space.

Cabin Review

TINY, not really for 3 people. Do not count on the "sofa bed". IT is non existent. It is a chair. and when it is set up - the room is completely useless and you can't walk around or open drawers. Closet space is too small for 3 people. Bathroom/Shower is a mess. Only way to use it - is to move the curtain and flood the bathroom.
