We have just today returned from a 7 day cruise on the MSC Preziosa. We are not cruise gurus, this is the first cruise we have ever taken, but I can see many more to come. All I can say was this cruise was the best holiday my husband and I have ever had. We have travelled a fair deal of the world using many different modes but this was just outstanding. I did read a lot of reviews prior to travelling on the ship and some were good but for me there were too many bad reviews so I was very sceptical and went with a very big hope that they were from people that's expectations may have been too high. I am not sure what they were expecting but I found not one single complaint about the ship, not one!

The ship itself is amazing, it is clean and fresh and enormous. Every part of the ship that we went into was spotless and so well cared for. I never saw a piece of rubbish or a dirty patch on a wall or floor or anywhere. All the toilets throughout the whole ship were immaculately clean and looked brand new. Our cabin was a balcony cabin towards the front of the ship on the 11th floor and it was just like any upmarket hotel room, it was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Our room attendant came to our room twice a day, he cleaned it and replaced our towels. He was a very friendly man whose mother language was not English but he conversed with us on every occasion in English and was smiling on every occasion I saw him.

All the staff on the ship were amazingly kind and friendly. From the first moment we arrived at the port for departure they were extremely helpful and made the process as easy as possible. We were a little lucky we boarded the ship at Izmir where there were few people getting on and so the process was very quick. English speaking people are a minority on the cruise but all announcements were generally given in about 6 languages and English was either first or second so there were no language issues and all the staff were able to speak sufficient English to help you.
