I have gone on over 25 cruises, but only one other on Royal Caribbean, and it was not good. I chose this cruise due to the itinerary and the price, not the Cruise Line. I have to say this was the most wonderful cruise I have ever been on, BUT not because of Royal Caribbean, but because of the passengers on the ship being so much fun. The food was good to fine for meat eaters, but for vegetarians (which I am) it left a lot to be desired. Our wait staff were terrific and I can't fault them for the food. Drinks were good and served by friendly bartenders, but you could rarely get a drink unless you went up to the bar yourself and ordered. The shows were lack-luster for the most part, and often seemed amateurish. There was a horrible centrum musical duo and one that was good.

Now I will get to the worst part of the cruise...the cabin. Fortunately, we tried to spend little time in the cabin, but when in there, the A/C often didn't work, making the room hot hot hot, we requested repair at least 4 times, and it never did work correctly. There wasn't any ice bucket or ice delivered, even after 5 daily requests and a visit to the desk...(we were told no ice buckets were available and anytime we wanted we could call room service for a glass of ice and wait the 45 minutes for delivery) No room service menus despite several requests. No amenitites in the cabin other than some terrible shampoo in a dispenser. We heard what we attributed to rats running around in the walls and ceiling, we never saw any, but other passengers with rooms near us reported the same noise. And beware there are NO laundry faciites for a 16 day cruise! We did write a complaint and received a 10% discount on our next cruise, but considering all we went through that was more of an insult to me than anything else.

Cabin Review

Two nights at sea had 30+ foot waves and the room sounded like it was going to crash anytime and really rocked and rolld more than other friends rooms. We heard what we attributed to rats running around in the walls and ceiling, we never saw any, but other passengers with rooms near us reported the same noise. And beware there are NO laundry faciites for a 16 day cruise!
