This was a transatlantic to Italy. We really liked the size of the ship and how smooth it was going across the Atlantic ocean. The cabins are nice but very small. They did have excellent service for the cabins, so anytime you left they were there to make up your room. Anything you needed, they were quick to react. The cruise ships are learning from the airlines and creating extra charges for everything. You want orange juice for breakfast, $3.00. They do not have coin washer/dryers so everything goes to their laundry at high prices. Drinks are really high. This was our first time on Celebrity. We had sailed with Holland America several times, however our friends said this was much higher quality. Well, the ship is bigger but so are the crowds. The specialty restaurants are really, really good, but are $45 extra for each one. The basic food in the main dining room, in my opinion is really poor. The soups were watered down, the meat was poor quality and the fish was almost inedible. Twice, we sent the fish entrée back because it tasted so bad. If you sit outside anywhere on the ship you better like other people because everything is tight. The quality of the entertainment was very low. This was especially important because on a transatlantic crossing you have 7 days at sea and there just isn't enough to do.
