As this was our first cruise, we were a little apprehensive as it generally seems that people either love cruising or hate it. Anyway, we plumped for informal, cheap and cheerful, and booked this cruise at a good discount. In summary, the whole experience was very positive, exceedingly good value for money, and we will most probably be booking further cruises on the strength of this one.

Transfers to and from the ship at Palma were carried out fast and efficiently.

The ship is an old lady, and has been modified a number of times in its history to suit different requirements for functionality/market conditions. That said, even though it was not originally designed so, it serves perfectly well as a cruise ship. It is kept spotlessly clean by a hard working crew who are courteous and friendly. Our cabin on Deck 4 (did this used to be called steerage?) was on the small side (as was the shower/toilet cubicle) but we found it manageable. On this level there is no noise from entertainment/bars but there is some noise/vibration from the ship's engines, although this did not bother us.
