This was our first cruise with P&O since 2010 as we decided to try out other cruise lines and had for the last three years had cruised with RCI. We were a little apprehensive as we had read a few recent reviews that were less than complimentary. I am pleased to say that we were pleasantly surprised.

We left from London Gatwick on a Thomas Cook flight after parking our car at the airport. Everything left on time and we were soon in the air. The flight was a little boring but the food was, in my opinion, quite good. Another good feature is that once you check in you don't see your cases again until you are on the ship.

The coach picked us up at Barbados airport and took us directly to the ship. There was a slight queue to book in and board the ship, but all in all it went very smoothly. Before we knew it we were on board and in our cabin. We had an inside cabin on Riviera deck. The cabin was reasonable spacious and what we expected. We didn't see much of our cabin steward but equally everything was clean and well presented.
