We took our first cruise with Royal in July 2013 on the Enchantment of the Seas. We could not wait to go again and decided on the Allure of the Seas. I sailed with my husband and 2 kids( 8 and 18). We sailed on 4/20/14( Easter Sunday and Spring Break) Now we are wondering how do we recover from it.
Check in at the Port was a breeze. We were in line literally 15 minutes. The Allure was FANTASTIC. The crew was exceptional - friendly, professional, funny and looked like they were having fun doing their jobs. Our cabin attendant Mykoo Rezendy was the BEST!!!!!! The food was GREAT - we ate in the dining room, Chops Grille, Giovannis, Johnny Rockets, Rita's Cantina, Park Cafe, Sorrentos and our all time favorite the Windjammer. None of them disappointed. The shows were better than average. We saw Blue Planet(amazing), Ocean Aria(exciting), Chicago(ok), Ice Games(Phenomenal) and the Comedy Show(laughed a bunch). Even with thousands of people on board we always were able to find deck chairs, hang out in the pool, get into the windjammer, and ride the elevators. My 8 year old enjoyed the Adventure Ocean Progam ( she always wanted to stay longer).
We had 2 interior staterooms with connecting door. Just enough room for us. The bathroom was slighly larger than on our last cruise and nice. We were hesitant at first with getting an inside room in the forward because we have done balcony and oceanview mid ship however we were pleasantly surprised and comfortable. We only felt the ship move once maybe twice. Once we were in our rooms we could not hear anything going on outside or in the hallway.
