Just returned from a 4 night cruise to Cozumel aboard Vision of the Seas. I agree with everyone who posted about the renovations. It looks and feels like a new ship. However, I also agree with the travel agent who commented that the new sinks in the bathrooms might look good, but are poorly designed. It is hard to get your hands under the faucet because they don't extend far enough into the sink. The entertainment was top notch, both the production and 2 comedians which I thought was great for a cruise of just 4 nights. The piano music in the MDR was just the right volume and tempo. The food was good to very good. We usually took our waiters advice. The only downside was there was no event for C&A members. I was told by Guest Services it was because it was only a 4 night cruise. This must be new because we sailed Monarch last year on a 3 night cruise and there was a great C&A party. The good news is that Guest Relations was wrong when they also told us there was no event for the higher levels either and then an invitation showed up the next day. Our son and his new wife who live in Miami were looking at Vision for a sail next month. He is a C&A gold member from when he cruised with us. After we told him there was no welcome back he'll be looking at other alternatives before booking since he can choose any cruise line if RCI isn't hostin a welcome back.

This was a quick getaway for us so we chose an Oceanview since it was only 4 nights. The room was laid out well, just a basic bar of soap in the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean. This was where you could see the renovation that made it feel new. The bathroom sparkled. We didn't spend much time in the room. However, DH missed our balcony since he usually sits on it with a glass of wine while I dress for the evening. The beds were not high enough off the floor to store your suitcase underneath so we had to store them on the love seat so seating became nonexistent.
