I just got back today from my 7 day cruise out of New Orleans to Mahagony Bay, Belize & Cozumel. The boarding process was pretty easy and quick. So was the deportation. That was a plus. While on the boat there are plenty of activities to do from trivia to sports to comedians to deck side contests etc. We won our volleyball tournament. Although the wind was bad the entire time the top deck was closed. I never once got to go down the water slide. My room was on deck 6. Right above the casino. Note to self to bring a sleep machine next time I go...ding ding ding. All of the food was (average) at best. I did not do the steakhouse. I expected nothing more with it being a carnival cruise line. I really enjoyed Henni, the cruise director. Very talented and entertaining. By far the best show was the New York themed one. All of the others were average and very much the same thing over and over. Too much song and dance for me. They should do different kinds of shows. Mix it up! The people cleaning the rooms seem to clean all day long. It's pretty amazing. Every time I came back to my room there were right around there doing something. Mahagony Bay was very beautiful. Although we had gotten a notice the night before about allot of crime on West Palm Beach. And to be careful. A simple walk down the pier and your in the port. Very clean and landscaped well. I did the Extreme Zip Lining through the jungle. This was allot of fun, but also very strenuous. I also rode the chair lift for 12 bucks. Its a pass for all day long. Lots of good photo opportunities here. The nature walk was very cool. The shops at each one of these islands were pretty much all the same. Belize was very disappointing. They tender a boat that fits about 50 people. The ride from the boat to the port is about 15 mins. The port was just ugly and did not look well kept up. It felt dirty and and not like the others. We didn't do much here except shop. Cozumel was my favorite. Another nice port off the pier. We did Dolphin Discovery at there national park. That was very cool. The Dolphins and Sea Lions are just incredible. And very intelligent and friendly. Riding the dolphin was allot of fun. One girl got lifted out of the water by two dolphins and pushed here almost 20'. It looked like she was skiing along the top of the water. The water was beautiful, we also went snorkeling there and took pics of the underwater Jesus. There's also a Tequila factory there and a walk through archeological park which was very cool. Overall I give this cruise a 7/10. We enjoyed ourselves, but it wasn't anything special. The food needs to be upgraded. And even though Belize sounds like a great place, it wasn't.

Cabin Review

My review of the cabin is basically written above. It was a nice cabin, but the casino was loud. Bring a noise machine. The view almost over looked a hot tub which was disappointing because I felt creepy just to go out on the balcony and relax with people right there. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING NEAR THE GARBAGE CAN. They will throw it out with out thinking. They through away my NFL Draft magazine and my headphones. The room service is nice and quick. I liked the grill cheese. Might have been the best thing I ate on the entire cruise. The channels are limited to say the least. Theres no ESPN in the room but there is in the bar casino. Movies were 10.99 to rent. Overall nice room.
