Just returning from a great week on NCL Getaway -although prior to this cruise we had already become completely addicted to cruising - five cruises in five years - three of which were since last March -NCL continues to keep us loving to cruise-

The Getaway is an awesome ship very comfortable quality furniture choices and attractive decor. We did not upgrade dining as both dining rooms and buffet offered us tasty options- most nights offered in the buffet was prime rib in carving station. We were happily surprised one evening by offering lobster tails and last night I thoroughly enjoyed leg of lamb with mint jelly. My favorite spot for lunch was buffet offered in the Flamingo grill - although the choices offered changed only slightly - inspired by Latin cuisine and flavors - offered very tasty yucca fries with a cilantro sauce, fried plantains, rice beans, short ribs, Chiimmichurri skirt steak- YUM! SO good! Service was friendly and attentive- our favorites were casino staff - even though they benefited better then us - we enjoyed hanging with them each evening. The entertainment staff were a great group - offering many different options of shows with interactive game shows focused to bring laughter and guests together. Tons of outdoor - on deck activities - Off the ground above the 16th floor over looking most of the ship- cant miss the obstacle rope course- although un-intimidating from ground view- impressively scary once you get up there- totally sure to freak one out and a must do - most likely requiring a do -over to complete and get your picture of proof - cannot miss the 8ft walk the plank follow up with a.

Zip line ride. Theres time for putt putt, a stroke waiting to happen with attempt to top the rock wall, and I did miss out on the trampoline and bungee it looked like a blast. Five very cool water slides attracting all ages - including the ultimate slide- leave your-heart at the top drop zone slide-NCL thrilled us completely with upgrade to our stateroom - mini suite - plenty big enough, comfy bed- coffee maker and conveniently located by elevators! As you read - so much to keep us addicted - the week was awesome!
