Sail Date: Apr 2014

I have sailed with Carnival 6 times previous to this trip and overall have enjoyed the ships. The decor on the boat is a bit drab. Most of the ships have colorful decor and this one seems to be a little lacking in that department.

As far as the entertainment goes, there were some things left to be desired. The shows were eh ok and the comedians were funny but did repeat alot of the material. The worst part for us was being on the deck with the DJ. They had 2 DJ's onboard and one was absolutely awful. DJ JD would play nothing but Spanish music. There were multiple "deck parties" where most of the cruisers would be on the lido deck ready to have a good time and he wouldn't play anything that anybody knew. The parties were quickly over and everyone would vacate the deck. By far the worst DJ i've ever seen on a cruise.

The comedy club host was also terrible. Her name was Margo and I don't ever remember seeing someone on a ship less entertaining. She would shout at people in the audience if she thought they were being too loud and she was hands down the most self absorbed host i've ever come into contact with. Gary the CD was great. He was probably the one and only thing that would get me back on the boat. He was hilarious and tried to make sure that everyone was always having a good time. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't ever consider another Carnival Cruise.
