Sail Date: March 2014
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: New York (Manhattan)
If you go with a group make sure you make reservations for dinner asap, you make reservations prior to sailing by emailing the group department for the breakaway. Even if you have reservations verify them with the restaurant MD when you get onboard, we were told that we could sit together and then when we got to the restaurant they told us that we couldn' persistent and demand that you sit together!

The wait staff at the complimentary restaurants were not at all personable and some were down right rude! Be prepared to be there at least an 1 1/2 to 2 hours, they are very slow! Of course the service at the specialty restaurants were very good, they want you out as soon as possible so they can get more guests in. For the most part the food was very good, the best was the Le Bistro and Teppanyaki (one of the best shows I've been too for that type of restaurant).

For Sunbathing - if you’re all adults I would suggest going to Spice H20 adults only- deck 16 aft More behind Uptown bar& Grill . There's lots of lounge chairs, a big screen, waterfalls that you can sit under if you get too hot, hot dog cart, Bar, hot tubs.

If that’s too crowded you can go to VIBE but this is an up charge adults only area, also has a bar. I believe it’s $79 to reserve for the week and if it’s really crowded it could be worth it.

The pools are small and very crowded, not many lounge chairs in the sun.

Reserve all the shows you think you'll want to see in advance, for Rock of Ages get there at least 30 minutes before the show starts..sit in the middle no more than 10 rows from the stage.

Fat Cats was fun, the Comedy show was okay, best bar was Maltings.

Tastings - The wine one was good, you got 5 full glasses of wine for $15. The Margherita was the best, the guy who did ours was hysterical, if you do any of them do this one!

The ice bar was fun, $20 and you get 2 Vodka drinks, the lemonade one was really good.

Don’t use the wine machines, very little wine and they charge you a service charge!

If you can, download their app it does have some flaws but for the most part it is valuable when you have a group. It's $7.95 each to access the ships wifi to use the app, you can view you account, shore excursions, daily activities, I would verify the activity you want on your "Freestyle Daily" we did have the wrong info for one of the tastings. You can also make reservations for the specialty restaurants and spa appointments. Less

Balcony was very very small, other than that it was fine. Only 2 electrical in the room outlets so bring an extension cord or power plug. No plugs at all in the bathroom.

Port and Shore Excursions

Loved this island, the only bad thing was the tendering! Rent the big round floats, they are a lot of fun especially in the Lagoon area. Lagoon area was the really nice and quiet and the beach area was great. There's the BBQ and bar there as well and rental shack for tubes and floats.

Resort Day Pass

Went to the British Colonial Hilton, walkable from Pier and pass all the shops and restaurants. $60 for day pass which includes $40 Bar and food credit...well worth it.

Walt Disney World

It was a waste of time to go to Disney World, we went on 3 rides in less than 6 hours!
