Hi All; This was are 3rd cruz, the first being in 1990, the 2nd in 2003 on RC Sovereign. We took the Glory out of Canaveral (1/13 - 1/20). No problems with embarkation. We practically walked onto the ship at 1:30. Our room was a guaranteed ocean view. We ended up being assigned a room on deck 2 in the back of the ship. Not bad, decent size, except it seemed that there was always and odor of the kitchen or garbage. Nothing terrible and we spent so little time in the room we lived with it. You do get a constant vibration from the props.

We were not thrilled with the food or staff. The food was just average. Our waiter has been working on the cruise ships for several years, and really has that "its just another job" attitude. We felt the Sovereign staff was much more attentive and the food was better. In Cozumel we spent the day shopping and at Carlos and Charlies (what a good time there). We choose to take our shore excursions through ShoreTrips.com. We had a wonderful horseback ride through the jungle in Belize. This was a tour which included just my wife, I and our guide. We were thrilled with the staff at the Bannana Bank resort. Truly a memory we will not forget. In Costa Maya we toured the Mayan ruins. The tour included 10 of us and a native mayan guide. The small tour and knowledgeable guide far exceeded our expectations. We cannot say enough about ShoreTrips.

Back on ship we felt the ship was fairly clean, and the deck staff was ok. Our room steward did seem to go above and beyond in keeping things clean. One problem we did have was the staff at 12:30am and 4:30am. The nights we did go to bed before 12:30, the staff would wake us up getting their cleaning supplies. Seems there is a large staff supply area across from our room (2478). This continued again at 04:30. The staff was not quiet, nor did they even try. Good thing we were tired and slept well after our days activities The Shows were very entertaining. The two vegas style shows and the adult comedians are not to be missed.
