This was my fifth cruise, third with Royal Caribbean. We were a group of six (me, husband, child and grandparents).

I will start with the most unpleasant aspect of this cruise considering I was directly affected. Grandeur of the Seas has been in the news recently for having two consecutive cruises with around 100 cases of gastrointestinal illness each. I was one of the sick passengers on the first cruise (March 28 to April 5). Thank God it only lasted one day. I would like to state right off the bat I was ALWAYS VERY CAREFUL BEFORE AND AFTER being sick. This applies to not only all the cruises I've been on but everyday life as well. I wash my hands way more than the average person (you have to with a baby!!)

Anyway, the medical staff were ok, Grandeur seems to have a decent medical center on board. Room service and meds were free. I was told not to leave my room for 24 hours. No problem there. I basically slept all day. I did everything that was asked of me and even then I felt like a criminal, with staff calling and checking on me constantly. I guess other sick passengers were not as cooperative.
