We actually had two cabins on this ship. U177 and U167. My daughter and her friend were in 167. The cabins were fine and the stewards did a great job keeping up with the cleaning. If they forgot something they made sure it was taken care of immediately. Occasionally you could smell a sewer smell but that seems to be common in certain areas of ships.
We did have a problem with 167 and a young man in 169 supposedly smoking pot in his cabin which would filter into 167. I say supposedly because we never actually saw him do it. We worked with security and they assured us that it was not tolerated and Long Beach had been notified. Well this family and their son were escorted off and the hallway and other cabins were inspected as soon as we arrived back into LB. During the cruise if the girls smelled anything housekeeping would immediately come back and "freshen" up their room.
The ship is older but the staff are constantly cleaning and touching up paint or doing maintenance. We did not think the food was as good as some of the other Carnival ships we have been on but it was acceptable. The ports are ok. Catalina was nice but we don't really think we would be going back to Ensenada.
A nice OV room. This cabin is near the elevators and staircase, which makes it easily accessible. It can be a bit noisy but this never really bothered us. If you are a light sleeper you might want to reconsider this location.
