1st time cruising with Norwegian. As the title indicates not all was bad and poor. The good was embarkation and debarkation. it was about as good as I have experienced. Also the food was good, not great but good. Other cruise lines served better, some not as good as Norwegian.

There were a number of poor things. Signage was poor. They have two main elevators forward and aft. Yet when you approach the elevators it is hard to read which is which. since our cabin was nearest (by far) to the forward elevators it was important to use that set. Using the aft elevators left us a very long trek along cabin after cabin until we reach our cabin. Visually there is one sign (in a faded pastel color) indicating fore or aft.

About every sign on the ship used rather small letters forcing you to approach the sign in order to read it. Once again at the elevators, there was a sign indicating what was on each floor. Most of the sign was taken up by an outline of the cruise ship (featured at the top) leaving little room for information below. Lettering was small and read like a "run on" sentence. ie. Deck 6 Steakhouse Bar and Grill LaCucina Italian Restaurant savor and Taste Main Dining Manhattan Dining Room etc etc... I left out the commas because they left out the commas (or I didn't see them).

Cabin Review

The cabin was small, about the same size as a balcony room on another cruise line, even if it was designated a mini-suite. However the extra space may have been designated for the shower. A full size shower was in this cabin's bathroom, a big upgrade over other cruises I have taken.
