Nice overnight cruise to the Bahamas for family with teens

Sail Date: March 2014
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Freeport
I dont think that the comments and reviews are very nice. The cruise was not bad at all depending on what it was for. We got this free cruise when we bought our timeshare a few years ago and just had to pay the extras to add our two kids. I paid upgrade fees for a cabin with a window, upgrade to a larger car while in Florida, and upgrade our hotel in the Bahamas. The only problem with this free cruise is the timeshare meeting that lasts 2 hours, especially since we are already timeshare owners.

The cruise is a very nice "short" cruise with all that a cruise has to offer. Very nice people working on the boat, very nice staff, housekeeping, drinks were awesome, entertainment on the ship is fabulous, especially the guy that was doing the contest with couples and newlyweds, they were hilarious. The food was actually fine, for free food, you can always pay and go to the more exclusive restaurant, but thats your choice, the burgers by the pool were delicious, they had free ice More cream and overall really nice people working on this ship. I mean this way just an overnight ship for us, just take us to the Bahamas, drop us off and bring us back in three days. So I cant say one bad thing about it. Our room was small for four, but our teens took the upper bunks, it was kind of fun. The showers were nice and clean and pretty spacious. Yes, the pool is small, but who cares, just lie out and have fun. Nice shops when you are about to board from Freeport to come back to West Palm Beach, an awesome Senior Frogs there, plenty of fun, music, karoake, and great drinks, see Jason, he is awesome. Less

Cabin review: 1

Nice cabins, very clean, great service and housekeeping. Floor seven was the best. On the way back we got a room in the 8,000 group, and that was fine too, no problems at all with our outside cabin, everything was great. We got a charger from the concierge for the laptops and a blow dryer, both worked good.

Port and Shore Excursions

We stayed at the Grand Lucayan in Freeport while on vacation for Spring Break with our kids. We all had a fabulous time. The port was great, everyone working there checking us in was very polite and efficient, the staff at the Grand Lucayan were very sweet and helpful. The rooms were just right for us, the pool area was beautiful as was the amazing ocean. It was perfect.
