I am a veteran of 8 cruises on 5 different cruise lines so I can compare with ease. The Constelation is a wonderful ship, great size and in good repair. The refurb last year was done well. The embarkation was the quickest I have ever had. We were the 4 person on the ship. Took about 15 minutes to get through system and on board to a glass of mimosa. Great welcome. Cabins not ready of course so we start to explore ship.
The ship is easy to get around on and small enough to explore without getting lost. Went to buffet to get some snacks. Wanted the Bistro on Five but it was not opened yet so buffet was open. Food was normal buffet food, hot and well prepared.
Cabins ready at about 1;00. We had a forward ocean view cabin 7000. This was a pick due to the oversize cabin and forward view. We were amazed at the size of this cabin. It is easily twice the size of other ocean view cabins. It was as large as a mini suit. Shower was oversize as well due to shape of cabin. A very large front facing window with a ledge you can use to store items on. Some worry about excess movement on front but it was not an issue. Some writers wrote of excessive noise from a door beside cabin for staff. We only heard the door open about 2 times so it was not an issue. This is the quietest room I have ever been in. I would book this room again in a moment. It was great.
Cabin is oversize due to location. This is reason I picked it. It was outstanding. As large as a mini suite. The shower was oversize also. Great sight from the from window of the ship.
