The fourth trip we were held up with the fog that blanketed Galveston. We could not embark on-time, we instead got sent to the holding room with 1000+ people. Carnival did a good job sending information on the text and email about the delays. Unlike the other times we read about, they did provide water and some snacks. We requested twin beds and got a full bed instead, and it was corrected quickly. We never did really meet the stateroom steward unlike the other times, he was like a vague shadow that we passed in the hallway. The dining room staff was very pleasant and entertaining. Unfortunately the food in the dining room was the same as the last times we cruised. We would have gone to the buffets, but they were closed early, we went around 6PM. We enjoyed the showtime theater, especially the illusionist show. Skip the gameshow, they did not seem like they knew what they were doing and numerous people left. The mixology was a lot of fun to watch, however they had a lot of entries and only used four of the people. A suggestion would be to drop the tired ice carving of the indian and have an extra mixology contest. Seem like the lido deck was very slippery this year and treacherous walking end to end. They should stress the need to be on the ship on time, as we had to wait for strays, one coming 45 minutes late. Nothing that will stop us for taking a 5th trip, but some things could be new for return cruisers.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was nice and we enjoyed the balcony in the morning with room service. We were on the Lido deck and this was a good floor. Not too much noise could be heard and convenient to get to the buffets and we did not have to fight for the elevators.
