This was a quick five day cruise to Labadee and Falmouth aboard the Liberty of the Seas. For the most part, we got exactly what we expected. This is our third time on this ship and our 10th cruise overall.

To be brief, we flew to Fort Lauderdale from Detroit the day before the cruise. We stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th Avenue and would definitely stay here again. It's a bit more pricey than the airport hotels and doesn't include a free shuttle from the airport or to Port Everglades; however, it does include free drinks and snacks from 5pm to 7pm and then a full breakfast the next morning. As well, the outdoor pool area is lovely. And on top of that, there are dozens of restaurants and shops close by. We picked up sunscreen, conditioner, etc at the nearby Publix. There is a shuttle available for a fee, but a taxi is cheaper for a family of four (or more).

The Liberty is a great ship. If you want quiet, you can find quiet. If you want activities, they're available. There were a few too many spring breakers aboard for my liking. They monopolized the pool areas and maximized their drink packages.

Cabin Review

Our room was your basic interior room. It was clean and well organized. I wish that they provided hair conditioner and moisturizer the way they do on Holland America.
