This was our first cruise. So we had no idea what to expect. The Equinox was a beautiful ship, very eloquent. It was clean and orderly. It is a large ship and holds many passengers, yet we did not feel claustrophobic. There is something for everyone to do or not to do.
The food was out of this world! Everything was so fresh and such a variety. We opted for the open dining, since we did not want to be committed to a set time. But it turned out we were there at the same time and did have the same table and wait staff. Next time when we cruise we will have the set time. We so enjoyed getting to know our waiter.
As far as the staff - They were superb, always friendly with a happy greeting. Our cabin steward was helpful and made sure all our needs were met. Our wait staff were pleasant, very accommodating, and service was always with a smile. There were 45 different nationalities on-board providing services and the teamwork and efficiency which they displayed is indeed a model for the world.
Perfect. One of our favorite things was sitting on the veranda in the evening watching the stars and wondering how early explorers navigated the sea.
