Before departing, I read some prior reviews and wondered if Royal Caribbean had slipped on their standards. Also, I take most reviews with a grain of salt. Having worked in customer service, I am well aware that you can not please everyone, and some just find fault in whatever they can. So, we set off on our cruise with our usual high expectations of Royal Caribbean. If you do not wish to read to the end, we were not disappointed.

As always, we were met by a courteous and efficient boarding crew. Check-in was delayed by a power failure, but no fault of the cruise line. They quickly rebounded and had people boarding in an orderly fashion.

Once onboard, we found our room to be clean and our attendant was friendly and helpful. She greeted us throughout our trip with a smile and was always available for an extra towel or blanket. Never once did she rush us out of our room. In fact, she timed our morning cleaning and evening turn down service perfectly.
