Additional details

Sail Date: Feb 2014

This ship is designed to entertain children - not for adults seeking adult space or adult R&R. Cruised 2/15/2014 - not children's vacation time, yet the kids ruled most of the day & early evening activites on the ship. Pools, on board active events mainly designed for or taken over by children. So many activities that as week progressed children became hyper active & noise level increased. Heard parent comments that this was not a restful cruise.

Acoustics are terrible in buffet cafe & theatre. Could not hear across table for two in buffet 80% of time & music in theatre drowned out songs lyrics.

Small, unmarked bottles of liquor/wine in suitcases "confiscated" at embarcation, yet liquor was encouraged on ship via beverage package. $49 per person for beverage package. The $49 becomes $100 per day, if two adults are in cabin, as all adults in cabin must take beverage package. If one does not choose beverage pkg, pay $$ per drink or $15 per bottle to have personal wine "uncorked" in cabin. We don't "do bars" & could have uncorked our own wine.
