Facilities This ship was too small and outdated to be enjoyable. The gym was small and old. Much of the decor on Carnival ships would make a crack addict gouge out their eyes, and the Miracle was no exception. The Miracle's decor was quite awful - fake Roman columns in the gym, etc. The jacuzzi in the spa was too lukewarm. The "sports" deck only had a mini golf course and a half-sized basketball court. The only sports games were a few bean bag tosses indoors and free throw challenges on port days. The steam room and sauna in the spa were very small and outdated with ugly tiling. The stage on the lido deck was usually staffed only by a DJ (I guess they got rid of live bands to cut costs) and there was very little room for deck parties. Cabins were standard, but outdated. The adult "Serenity" deck was refreshing with some very nice furniture and cabanas.
Dining
The Lido buffet was quite good. The thin crust pizzas were cooked to order and were simply wonderful. And I had the best turkey ever on the last day. But the dining room food was noticeably worse than the food on the Splendor. Our dining room waiter just didn't want to be there. Other reviewers correctly observed that the Miracle's crew was not that friendly. Maybe it's a change in the tipping policy or how they are treated....
