The best part of the cruise was leaving the cold behind us and the couple of nights we spent in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise. We have done many cruises on many lines and sadly this may be our last princess cruise. The design of this ship was terrible. ( tell you something that you haven't already read) Ok- there was a stairway that actually went nowhere. Up a couple flights and just ended. We had to turn around an go back down. It was a passenger stairway not a crew stairway. You see the crew stairways which were also the stairways we would need to use in case of an emergency- had a doorway that opened into the crowds, and then this convenient space beside the metal crew stairs where you could look down or perhaps catch your footing, I'm sure that would never happen if there were a true emergency.

I would love to give you a day by day experience and write up but I really don't want to devote much more time to this ship.(sorry). Most of the time regarding the shows, guests were waiting outsides the venue because there were not enough available seats. Watching on a monitor outside the venue was a frequent a occurrence. Dinner in the main dining room often took quite along time. We had to ask for rolls one night, another night we had to ask for our silverware. We figured the one night we dined in the specialty restaurant would be different. It was different. It was so incredibly hurried. the waiter was unfamiliar with the steak choices, the sides were served family style and not even enough for one person let alone the 4 guests at our table. We were not given a customs paper on the day everyone else received one. When we called the guest service desk after 15 or so rings they said come get one. This may sound insignificant, but we already had a problem with guest services and obtaining accurate information with regard to checking our luggage through to our airport from the ship. We got 3 different answers from guest services. FYR-all that has been previously posted with regard to design is correct. In my honest opinion, if you can change ships, I would. This was brief and I am not a big complainer, I have had and enjoyed many cruises of over the past 30 years just not this one, Princess should bring this ship into dry dock and reconfigure.
