We just returned from a great cruise in the Western Caribbean. I have been on previous cruises with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. Had a great time on those cruises, but this one was a step up.

The embarkation and the disembarkation were the quickest I have experienced. The staff was friendly and approachable. The captain was very visible and personable. The ship was clean and spacious. We had wonderful weather - no rain during the day and temperatures averaging in the 80s. My favorite place on the ship was the Solarium which was a pool area with shelter from the sun. It was so relaxing. We tried two of the specialty restaurants and enjoyed both. Murano was my favorite because it was so intimate and the service was superior. The food was not bad either! Our seat in the Tuscan restaurant was at the back of the ship right over the wake. Beautiful view. I liked the design of the cabins (we had a balcony cabin). It seemed to have more space especially in the bathroom and shower. The balcony was wider which made it seem bigger.

We highly recommend the Stingray City, Turtle Farm excursion on the Grand Cayman Island stop. The wild stingrays and huge sea turtles were amazing. We got off the ship at every stop but other than shopping, with Grand Cayman being the exception, we did not do much more. At the Haiti stop which was a private peninsula owned by the cruise line, we found a nice little sandy beach called Nellie's Beach and soaked up the sun. It cost $14 each to rent the water mats but they were worth it when you are out in the water lazing about. We tried a different lounge or bar each night before dinner. There were some very different and delicious drinks recommended to us which we tried. We spent a couple of hours in the casino each night and Overall, a wonderful experience and a great cruise.

Cabin Review

Located midship we were approximately equal distance from the two sets of elevators. Reduced amount of movement. The cabin was nicely laid out. The balcony was more than sufficient. Appreciated the storage space above the beds. The shower was the biggest I have experienced on a cruise ship with plenty of storage space for cosmetics and other toiletries.
