We returned to the Sun after taking the 11 day last year at this time. Last years cruise was a great experience so we decided to book the other leg this year. We were some what frustrated with the checkin process. Long lines and a bit disorganized. We are Lattitudes members and there seamed little benefit in checking in. Once checked in we found our cabin, forward facing balcony on deck 11. It was very nice. A bit of extra space so we had two chairs and coffee table, couch and desk besides the queen bed. Also the balcony had 2 chairs a small table & two lounging chairs. Our cabin steward Juan was probabily the best we have ever experienced. After introductions I made a request for extra pillows, which he said he would take care of in a short time. We spoke about scheduling and he left. We wandered the ship had dinner and returned to be greeted by name by Juan. Pillows in the room, it was very clean, turned down and comfortable. Juan greeted daily by name when ever we passed, every need we had was attended to and he kept the room imaculte. We had two experiences with maintance that were very positive. Shower handle came off, I called as we left for a meal and when we returned it was repaired with a new shower curtain as well. I received a letter saying the needed to paint on the balcony during port days. I went to the desk to request that the work possibly be done when we had shore excersions, and it was.
Food was good, but not a great variety. The Chef's table was excellent and the food exceptional (as it was last year with a differtent Chef). Very pleasureable cruise and we are planning the next NCL vacation.
Great cabin next to owners suite. Roomy, large balcony. Spacious, great views & best cabin steward ever!
