Epic Eastern-Western Caribbean

Sail Date: January 2014
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami
Embarkation - Easy/ Quick

Rooms - ready and clean (this time)

Refrigerator locked - had to call to have it unlocked and items removed so we could keep my DH insulin cold.

This is the 2nd time NCL bagged the contents and stored in our room. I would not drink anything from the mini bar if I were you.

We're not very needy people so the room steward was pretty good. Although we did have to sign our life away for 2 pool towels one day, fortunately we returned them.

The balcony - The room actually seems quite large. the one with the tub actually looks larger than the one with the shower due to bed position. The tub and showers are huge by comparison.

The balconies are deeper than the dawn's, but bring your own lounge chair. The dawn has a reclining chair on a small balcony, but the Epic only has chairs.

If you like to look down into the ocean get the aft, there are now boats in the way.

There are too many people on this More ship!

They no longer provide drink service at the buffet. and finding cups can sometimes be a problem.

No more cold soups.

Desserts not very good, BUT they have crepes every night and all the ice cream you could want so that makes up for the other crap.

If you don't like smoke stay off this ship!!!

I hear Princess is non-smoking and unless their quality also changed it is now a better cruise line.

We prefer the buffet and Specialty Dining. We purchased the ultimate dining package. this does NOT mean that you can have 2 entrees. It only means that you can eat there as many times as you want.

You cannot have the moderno salad bar and cagneys steak. You cannot have surf and turf at cagney's!

You can do whatever you want at teppanyaki. Each restaurant is different, some require all the cards to check out some only require the room numbers. No one really knows what is going on with this yet as it is new and changed everyday.

Cirque is a must and worth the money.

back to back with the drill - if you do not leave port you do not have to go to the 2nd drill as your name will not be on the list, yet EVERYONE says you have to.

kind of dissappointed Less

Interesting place as it is not a city. Port designed for ships and has pool.
I liked it a lot.
Getting to the dive shop was interesting. no roads really. small boats with tanks laying down in the middle, but it worked great and was a great dive. only 4 per boat. I would do it again!!!
