As a party of 2 adults travelling in an outside cabin on a week long "cruise" called colourful coasts on board Thomsons Celebration ship.
Flight from UK ok. On time and the usual no frills travel. We waited approx 60mins to get on board because the computer went down and there were very few crew to process the ship ID cards. On first appearance cabin was good size clean and had the necessary requirements such as tea coffee etc.however we were situated on the lowest floor so the vibrations and noise made it very difficult to sleep. But the biggest disappointment was the food. Limited choice, the quality has also diminished, and the way it was served reminded me of school dinners. No longer to help yourself at the buffet the kitchen staff wore plastic gloves and it was literarily slopped on to your plate. I noticed a few times the Thomson crew helping themselves they must be immune to the novo virus??? There was very little organisation and the servers literally moving backward and forwards trying to serve more than one person at a time. The bar service was also irratic they have cut back on staff and it shows. The itinary was good if you like being miles from the towns your visiting and the views of the cement works in Agadir was awesome, nice touch breathing in the cement fumes.I must mention the entertainment which was first class throughout, the only thing Thomson got right.
I can honestly say I have been on better ferries. By the way our case was broken into we presume in Tenerife airport locks snapped and items taken, it's hardly worth the effort of claiming as Thomson are not interested and the baggage claims so lengthy . We will not be cruising with Thomson again.Fred and P &O can at least call themselves cruise ships.
Cabin 902 large size tiny porthole on line with water level. Extremely noisy and vibrates continuously
