Sail Date: Jan 2014

My wife and I have been on 5 previous cruises with RCCL and we consider ourselves loyal to Royal. For the first time we traveled to Ft Lauderdale the day before we set sail. We stayed at a great location and had a view of the port from our balcony. From now on we will always go the day before and stay at this hotel.

We woke up on the day of departure and saw the Allure docked and looking beautiful. We waited on our hotel balcony having our morning beverage until it was time to take the shuttle to the ship.

We got to the ship before 11:00am. We were all checked in and waiting in the suite lounge a few minutes later. We were walking on to the ship about 11:30. We went to the Windjammer for lunch and we were the first guests that walked in. The food was good and we had our pick of tables. We ate lunch and went to explore the ship.

Cabin Review

This cabin ruined us for other cabins. We normally stay in a balcony cabin, however nothing like this.Cabin 8254 was huge. It had plenty of storage with a large closet and plenty of drawers. There was a large bathroom with a double sink and a bathtub/shower. The balcony had two chairs with a table and also two lounges with a small table.
