The problem with cruising a lot is that the cabins become very boring. They are all the same, with very little creativity in their design. The furniture is hard to sit on, and doesn't seem to have been designed for it's purpose. The cabin stewards always seem to be excellent, and extremely hard-working. This man was certainly no exception.
Although we had booked open dining, eight of us decided to continue to sit together. Our waiter was not very good, but his assistant was very professional, but also a lot of fun. Unfortunately, someone decided to have the assistant work in another area, so it was a big disappointment. The food is usually so average, and repeated so often, that the staff make all the difference in the dining experience. The Bernini dining room is very attractive, and we enjoyed our particular area.
Entertainment was very poor, with few exceptions. Of the 31 days, I would say that no more than three shows could be rated "good" to "Excellent". A couple of the performers were absolutely embarrassing. It appeared that all the performers had been told that they needed to be complete entertainers, so we had unfunny singers trying to be funny, and jugglers looking totally unskilled. The best shows were those with local performers and Folkloric shows.
