Overall, the ship itself is very nice, but the service was much less than what we experienced with NCL the previous year. Tour was around the western Mediterranean with many well-travelled stops.

Nicely designed and maintained ship: the room layout is very ample, all the public areas are spacious and new, the bars, restaurants, gym, barber shop, and outdoor areas are very nice. Splurged on a mini-suite and we were quite happy with the size and amenities. Also, paid to get a pass to the POSH outdoor area, and that was definitely worth it for the days at sea.

Service, though, was fair to poor. The servers in the restaurants seemed to be going through the motions. We mainly ate in the 2 main dinning rooms, but did try the steak and Brazilian specialty restaurant. Brazilian was not worth it! In the main dining rooms the food itself was good variety and quality. At the customer service desk we were treated poorly, and then spoke to a manager about it. He was apologetic, but we walked away thinking that our poor treatment was not out of the norm. Even some of the other staff complained about how the other employees did not treat customers very well. One positive service experience was in the barber shop - great experience and a nice amenity to have on the ship. The special entertainment, Blue Man group, and Legends was nothing special. The band and singers that performed in the main dining room during dinner were pretty poor. On the Jade in the Mediterranean last year had much better service overall, and the entertainment, while not "brand name", was actually better.

Cabin Review

Room is very nice layout. Good amount of space for two people to move around. The "curved" wall seems to be a good idea to maximize space. Peeking in the regular Balcony rooms, seems like it is worth it to pay for the mini-suite. Location on the ship is good. Although it is a very big ship, it is fairly easy to get around.
