We have been on many cruises and this one was the worst! The wait staff in the dining rooms were so slow it always took at least a minimum of two hours to be served a meal. We usually request your time dining and this is the first time we ever had to wait in line for dinner! We were told by the staff that it had been extremely overbooked so we requested to have dinner at a set time and were told that our table number would be sent to our room that NEVER HAPPENED! Everyone in the dining rooms were so unfriendly, they acted as though they didnt' want to be there. This was so different from what we were used to from previous Carnival ships.
This ship needs some serious work! I know we will not cruise on this ship again! We were ripped off on one of the islands at one of the duty free stores who refused to give a receipt for paying cash and this seems to be a common occurance after speaking with some other people on the ship after this happened to us in Dominica. SO, steer clear of that store there! Over all, the weather was the only thing that was on the plus side for this cruise. There are not any good shows on the Breeze, activities, its just a different kind of ship than what we are used to. The housekeeping staff were the only friendly people that we had the pleasure of getting to chat with! I sent an e-mail to Carnival and of course they don't care, we even paid twice as much for this cruise and I am sorry now that we did....it was pretty lousy.
The room was not as nice as our room on our last cruise on the Carnival Victory, this suite had a dressing area and many more drawers for your clothes. The Breeze is newer but does have all of the amenites and is not decorated as nice, reminds me of a Halloween decor.
