The Haven was heavenly!

We were offered an upgrade to the Haven shortly before our cruise and we jumped on it. The Haven experience is the best I've ever had on a cruise ship. The only down side was we were offered a two bedroom villa, but on arrival found the second bedroom to be the size of a closet with no window. This may work for children, but not for two adult friends who do not share a bed. The master bedroom had a queen size bed which could not be separated and a magnificent bathroom. There was also a second full bath. We had a bathtub with a picture window so that you could watch the ocean go by as you bathed. The shower also had a floor to ceiling window for ocean viewing as you showered. The cabin was bright and colorfully decorated. We had a roomy balcony with two chairs and two small tables. There was a table which seated four and a coffee, espresso, capucchino machine. We had a cordless phone to use anywhere on the ship to contact our butler or concierge. Our butler's name was Walter and he was great. We had a wonderful selection for room service and Walter placed a cloth tablecloth down before setting our table and serving our meal. We had the option of eating breakfast and lunch in Cagney's which was only open to Haven guests. I had a large shrimp cocktail every day at lunch. Just a few steps from our cabin, was our own private swimming pool, hot tub, and lounge chairs reserved just for Haven guests. There were always snacks out here and coffee, tea, and ice water. The area had a sliding sun roof so it could be enjoyed rain or shine. On deck 15, Haven guests have a private sun deck with plenty of loungers.

Food: As guests in the Haven, we could dine at Cagney's for breakfast and lunch. Meals there were quite good and I especially liked my shrimp cocktail daily with lunch. There is a breakfast buffet as well as menu offerings. We had dinner one night at Cagney's and Mama's. Both were very good. Dinners in the main dining room were very good, too.

Service: The crew on this ship were delightful! Always smiling. Our butler, Walter was a gem. He made our cruise so special. There was no request that Walter couldn't carry out.

Entertainment: There were the usual cruise ship shows with a magician, comedian, and musical revues. The best show by far was Le Cirque Bijou. This show is like a smaller version of a Cirque du Soleil show seen in Las Vegas. The performers were just awesome as they were flying over the audience. The balancing acts were amazing considering that it was a little bumpy the night they performed.

Summary: Our experience in the Haven was over the top! The service and amenities were awesome. It was just so peaceful and relaxing. If there is any way you can do it, book a suite in the Haven. This was the best cruise experience I've ever had.

Cabin Review

The villa was bright and gaily decorated. The only drawback is that the second bedroom is the size of a closet and has no window. The master bedroom was lovely and the master bath was quite luxurious with a soaking tub with a picture window looking out at the ocean. There was another full bath, too. The villa was just steps away from all of the amenities of the Haven.
