Sail Date: Apr 2013

We left Port Canaveral on a beautiful day and enjoyed great sailing throughout our cruise. We had been sailing on larger and larger ships, graduating from Monarch all the way up to two cruises on the Navigator of the Seas. The Promenade became one of our favorite places, and were delighted to see that same format on the Freedom. We spent a lot of time late in the evening sipping coffee and hot tea just outside the Promenade Café watching the world go by. When we weren't watching there, we enjoyed sitting on our balcony.

The solarium hot tub was another favorite spot for us. While we are parents and grandparents, it was good to get away from all the kids for a while and enjoy the quiet and relax.

The staff on the Freedom of the Seas was as friendly and helpful as we have ever encountered. The dining staff at the My Time Dining was superb--our wait staff as well as the folks who made our reservations at the door. Even when it was not possible for us to have "our table," our waiter stepped out of his area to still take care of us.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was awesome. There was plenty of storage room, and our steward kept everything in great order for us. One of our favorite places on the ship was our balcony. We were impressed that the drapes were so thick that they kept out that early morning light when we wanted to sleep through.
