First of all everything went great at the Tampa port. We arrived around 10:30 and were on board by 11:30. When we arrived on the ship we were directed to Cagneys for lunch. Our room was ready before we finished Lunch.

The review of our room will follow. We enjoyed all the perks that come with a suite but we are not sure if it is worth the extra money. You pay a lot more and then you have to tip the butler and concierge above and beyond the daily fees that you are automatically charged. I understand that they are there to help make your cruise more enjoyable but for us we did not need them to enjoy the cruise. We would love the option of a suite without their services, and not necessarily a mini suite but one of the bigger ones. We did make sure to tip appropriately this time.

All the entertainment on the ship was very good. We especially thought the comedian Tim Kiminski was fantastic. He is a true artist in his field and proves that one does not need vulgarity to be extremely funny. Any show or game that he is in is a must see. We also enjoyed Paul the cruise director. His cheer leading skit with Tim was awesome.

Cabin Review

This was our first time in a suite and it was absolutely fantastic. We were in one of the new family suites that was added to the Dawn on her last dry dock. It was a great room. We loved the comfy chairs and we put them right in front of the big screen TV. The space in the room was awesome. Then you add to that the nice size balcony with 2 chairs and 2 loungers. It was so nice not to have to compete with the chair hogs, and we loved the top of the balcony open so we could get some sun. We never had a problem with people looking over from the upper deck and we could also enjoy the poolside music
