There are many reviews of Princess's newest ship, Royal, so I will only give a few highlights (and low lights) Favorite - the Enclave by far! The purpose of the Enclave is to get away from the activity of the ship and relax in a peaceful, serene setting. The whirlpool is a mini pool - large enough so that many people could use it at the same time and not be in each others space. It has 2 spray fountains, a center rain shower that you stand under, 2 side areas with personal jets and a unique seating area along the back wall to enjoy the jets and warmth. The Enclave also has 8 heated tile beds and 2 water beds, 2 large steam rooms and 1 sauna. Oh and also the 4 different showers with varying water sprays and scents. My husband and I used the Enclave every day - it was pure joy and definitely the best part of the ship.

The Piazza is stunning and there are many places to enjoy a cocktail and watch the many activities that are occurring throughout the day. The Wheelhouse Lounge was a favorite late night hang out for Yellow Bird cocktails or a glass of wine while relaxing on the sofa listening to music.

We have already been to the ports on this Eastern Caribbean cruise, so we stayed aboard had 5 sea days to relax at the pool, go to the art auctions, the Spa, and the Enclave. The adult pool was also a highlight for us with plenty of seating and shaded areas for my husband who prefers to stay out of the sun.

Cabin Review

The most disappointing thing on the ship was our balcony. We enjoy starting our day with coffee and fruit on the balcony, but found that the small space limited the amount of time we spent on it. Our cabin was also small, but adequate for the amount of time we spent there. Also, the light for the closet is on the same switch as the main cabin. This is poor design since I could not get things from the closet or safe without putting on the main cabin light.
