Having been on several other Thomson cruises in recent years, including two previous Canaries cruises with them, we had high expectations. Embarkation, was well managed, having booked online an inside cabin on level one or two we knew what to expect. However, on entering cabin 900 we were confronted with not only the loud drone of the engine next door but also the continuous very loud tapping of something. At first we thought it was the lift cable in the adjacent wall.

On contacting the reception we were told it was not the lift, no other room was available but they would offer one if it became available.

We were told that as we had booked late we had to have what we got. Written and verbal complaints were ignored with polite letter.
