We have been on several other cruises and 1 other cruise line. We were looking for a cheap cruise within driving distance from Illinois. 10.5 hrs to New Orleans. Boarded ship at 11:30 am without any problem. Rooms were ready by 12:30. Initial impression of ship was it is an older ship.Worn and tired looking in areas. 1 main elevator not working. Lido deck and pool/ slide looked old. Rooms had old big tvs with bad color. Furniture in rooms very scraped up and drawers coming off of tracks. Showers good sized but just outdated.

Had my time dining. Never waited more than 10 min to be seated. Had trouble getting waited on multiple times. They'd give you menus then not return for 20 min. We watched those by us get service quicker. So we came to the conclusion, my time diners who did not have set waiters got worse service. It was difficult to get any nonalcoholic beverages during dinner. Took a long time. Food itself was good. I'd go with set dining for better service. We never had this problem before. Ate at the grill on Lido several times and Tiffany's a few times. All was good.

We were a bit bored with the entertainment. We attended comedy shows and few others that were ok. Danced one night. Did some trivia. It was too cold and windy to hang out much outside.
