Just got home from our Allure of the Seas second Cruise. It was a blast. The ship although huge, isn't as crowded as you might think. The ship is spectacular. Our favorite areas are: Central park and the boardwalk sections of the ship. When you enter the ship for the first time, your jaw will drop! The decor is spectacular. So much to do and so much to see. We loved, loved the entertainment- having been on many cruise lines, including Disney, Celebrity, Carnival and Princess, I can say without any doubt Royal Caribbean Freedom and Oasis Class entertainment is the best at sea! The ship has activities all day for children and adults. The kids have so many activities, zip line, rock climbing walls, flow rider, ice skating rink, water park , day camp and teen lounge and activities. They also have an ice cream parlor, cupcake shop and Johnny Rockets.

We enjoyed the speciality extra charge restaurants. The main dining room was crowded and the food just okay. They have a good cafe in Central park that was free and did make nice salad's and panini's. You can also get free hot dogs and donuts free on the board walk. The buffet was fair- Celebrity Solstice class ships buffets are much better with more food choice including fresh omeletes made to order.

Our cabin was a Central Park Balcony view. This is our third CP cabin (1 Oasis 2 Allure) and in the future will consider a balcony view. It is a little weird not seeing the water and not knowing if you are docked or not. While the first two times we loved the CPV as we took our grandchildren on their first cruise and were concerned that the water view might disturb them- we prefer it! The boardwalk is too noisey IMO as it is noisey from morning to night with a merry go round ringing a bell and playing music from 10AM to 10PM most days. They also have many other activities adding to the noise during the day and at night.

Cabin Review

Enjoyed the cabin. The bathroom sink is very low- so if you are tall, not very comfortable. Small compact but okay for a week's cruise.
