This was our first cruise. So to be fair we didn’t know exactly what to expect or what is “normal” for a trip of this type. My wife and I usually spend a week or so in one country and really try to absorb the culture. However we wanted to see Asia and this seemed to be a great way to do so.

We selected this trip for the destinations and the time spent at port. We were aware of the distances to the major cities and spent many nights off the ship. It takes a while to get to the cities so to make the most of your time overnights are a must. If you would like to read about those experiences along with more detail of our excursions (both with the ship and on our own) you can visit our travel blog at: www.kfbroadway.wordpress.com.

Our stateroom was small but well done. We stayed in 9052, everything was clean the balcony seemed spacious and the stateroom attendant Michael was outstanding. He even went out of his way to fix my wife’s prescription sunglasses when I accidently sat on them ☺. Aqua class was a nice perk. We liked not having a set time to dine and the service there was exceptional as well. Mae and Liu were our favorite; they knew the menu and gave honest opinions about what was worth ordering and what to skip. On that note, we thought the food was very good here except for the seafood quality. It did not taste fresh (or even fresh-frozen) and try as we might (every night) it did not get better. Aqua class also gave us private seating for breakfast which was really nice and very tasty.
