This was the third time that we have sailed on a Solstice Class ship (previous ones being the Equinox and the Solstice) and once again we were not disappointed. This is a beautiful ship with an eye-popping dining room; several interesting bar areas and a large and efficiently run buffet dining area. The food in most eating venues on the ship is very good to excellent. The staff are usually anxious to please and work hard at resolving any issues. The cabins are typical of most cruise ships in the Celebrity line, but have a little additional storage space in the units above the beds which is nice. The entertainment and the speakers series on this last cruise was a little "hit and miss" but then again it is a very personal thing and it is hard to please everyone on the cruise.

The disembarkation at both ports of call and the final destination is often problematic and perhaps Celebrity should review the processes and procedures. I understand that there are often circumstances beyond their control, but often the passengers are of the opinion that perhaps the ship could have done it more efficiently and in a more timely manner.

Overall, we are still dedicated Celebrity customers despite the few hiccups that are occasionally encountered.

Cabin Review

Well located stateroom close to the elevators and stairs (but very little noise) and also to the computer lounge. The verandah is standard size with no obstructions. The washroom has a corner shower with sliding doors, no tub and a fair amount of storage space.
