We had been really looking forward to this cruise for over a year. Only cruised with Cunard in the Med before and a bit apprehensive. Before we went we found Cruisecritic - and found some great reviews on there which eased our minds. A wonderful organiser - Brenda - ensured we met lots of people as soon as we arrived. Andy also did a great job of getting everyone together and organising a few events. The cabin was really nice - Aqua - and the restaurant - Blu - was excellent. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. It was definitely worth the upgrade - to us anyway. We met some really nice people, especially 3 young couples from the USA who had just got married or were celebrating their recent marriages. They were half our age but that did not matter and we had a really good time together.

The ship was spotless. Perry Grant in Michaels Club kept us entertained and the staff there were good fun. We found that of the 3 speciality restaurants Murano was our favourite and we visited twice and had a fantastic meal on both occasions. Qsine a bit gimmicky - but if you go with a few others very enjoyable. Tuscan Grille - food very good but more of an American Italian - everything just a little bit too big..... Very tasty though.

I had been to the Caribbean before - in the Royal Navy - but not to any of the Islands we visited - they were all very different but well worth visiting - we spent a couple of hours on all the islands at the beach - that was wonderful - Did a few of the ships organised tours - and a few private ones organised by people who had been before. Excellent. We are now about to book next years cruise - guess who with? - Going to do backtoback - Transatlantic via New York and Bermuda before the Caribbean leg. Couple of new Islands this time so can't wait. Overall - Great Ship, Great Crew, Lovely fellow passengers from USA, Canada and the UK. Good entertainment by Perry Grant and a couple of the shows were good. Entertainments Director - Sue was very good but some of the acts were a little lame. Magicians, conjurers etc. Enjoyed Mark Preston from the Lettermen also. Looking forward to meeting some of last years passengers too. Marks out of 10 - 9.5...... (always room for improvement)

Cabin Review

Nice cabin - large enough and everything you needed. Having spent some time in Vegas before needed 2 cases each = lots of room to stow them.
