Arrived in New Orleans the day before the cruise departed. Stayed at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel which is literally across the street from the port. Go to LUKE Restaurant by Chef John Besh for fantastic dinner.
The cruise port is about a 5 minute walk from the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel. The only problem that existed was no clear signs for entering the port via walking. Walked to Julia Street from hotel and turned left, continued and cross over railroad tracks and then turned right and walked alongside departure buildings, passing by signs that said NO PEDESTRIANS. I ignored the signs, along with about 10 other passengers, finally seeing the entrance to the ship.
Embarkation took no time at all, on the ship right a way and walked directly to cabin M31-window cabin. The ship is clean and a little dated. Drawers and doors in the room very worn out. Huge shower and bathroom, cabin stewart I Putu very friendly and accommodating, knew my name every time I saw him. The ship was very clean.
