We booked a balcony room and wish we hadn't. Being nonsmokers and having asthma we were really upset that every time we went out on our balcony it seemed like every smoker on the ship had booked a room around ours! I have nothing against smokers, but we will just stick with ocean view rooms from now on. Our room was clean and had plenty of storage for our bags and such. We purchased a Faster to the fun pass and we will definetly purchase that again! You are able to board the ship at 11am, you room is ready, you get priority boarding for ports that have tenders and you don't have to wait in line at guest services.

So this was our 2nd cruise, both have been on carnival, last year we went on the Valor and had a great time. The food was awesome as was the ship, ports. The Entertainment was o.k.. This year we again really enjoyed all of the ports. Not so much on the ship, our steward was nice, but didn't really pay attention to detail. Our room itself was clean but the bathroom not so much. My hubby threw a pair of sandals away in the trash can in our room and the steward took them out, so we put them back in the trash can and again he took them out! We ate in the dining room 5 of the 7 nights and the foods was ok, in our room on the tv you can check to see what the menu is for the day and we based what was on the menu as too whether we were going to eat in the dining room or not. It was never accurate. A few nights we ended up going to the buffet after dinner because we didn't like the food in the dining room. Last year we didn't bring any formal clothes and were surprised at how much people dressed up. This year hardly anyone was wearing formal clothes. There we several people that we wearing shorts in the dining room. The Taste Bar was only open 1 night of the entire cruise, the entertainment was ok the dancers were just ok and the singing was worse! Our Cruise director (Josh) was terrible! They had a morning show that was just really annoying. The only good entertainment was the Punchliner Comedy Club. Of the first 2 comedians only one was really funny, the other (Stevie K.) was terrible I don't think anyone in the club was laughing at him at all. The 2nd set of comedians were hilarious!!! Other than the ports this was by far the best part of the cruise!!!

It seemed like this cruise was about partying, the bars/clubs were open late but other than the casino that was it. The late night food options were ok either pizza or a couple nights there were ham & cheese grilled sandwhiches. Any of the activities on the the lido deck was all latin dancing. If you didn't know those dances you didn't do much dancing.
