fair size cabin with no windows, plenty of wardroom space and the bed was comfyclose to stairway d so easy access to all floors

we had the "discretionary" service charge removed at the purser's office
I gave 4 members of staff who in my opinion helped us above and beyond the norm a £40 "drink" each
I feel good service should be rewarded individually rather than 1 cent per crew member
when we got to southampton the traffic was abysmal due to roadworks,it took our driver 3 1/2 hrs to reach us at the ocean terminal from 4 miles away,bear this in mind
the staff in the duty free shop told us that we could buy what we liked as there were never any customs at Southampton,
I stuck to my legal limits but others got carried away and guess what?we booked the eastbound transatlantic cruise as part of a fly-stay-cruise package
My first time on a big ship and we loved it
1 quality of dining in the Britannia restaurant was first class,the waiter ramiro and the sommelier mahen were very helpful and obliging
2 the kings court buffet and chef's galley were perfect for for off the cuff meals food quality was high and varied
3 the seminars and presentations were thought provoking and entertaining, concorde pilot Tim Orchard was the pick for me
4 the wines and bar prices were a lot more reasonable than expected,and every wine and/or cocktail we drank was high quality dent wines were around $40-50 per bottle with cocktails from $7-12
5 every single member of staff that we encountered were polite and helpful, at no point did I feel unwanted
6 the onboard launderettes were a great bonus as if like us this was the second leg of a trip
7 check in and check out was smooth and easy
8 the kids club was open till 11pm most nights and fantastic for our daughter
9 fellow passengers were very friendly and amicable
