We just finished our 4 night cruise with our 2 kids ages 12 and 10. We stayed in cabin 8596- family with a veranda. First, the room was perfect with a separate toilet and sink then another sink and shower in a separate, adjacent room... This was great. One person can be showering while another can be using the toilet or using the sink. The room had a queen bed and then 2 twin beds- one that coverts to a couch and one that drops down from the ceiling. As with all rooms, this comes with 24hr comp room service (add gratuity )and a good selection of comp movies. The veranda was so nice-being able to watch the ship pull into and out of port. The kids being older, we had the late dinner and I was very glad. While we finished up dinner around 9:30(start at 8:15), we were not rushed to eat at 5:30... If our kids were younger, the earlier dinner is best... Prevent the meltdowns! The activities for kids and adults were nearly endless and the kids had no problem staying entertained. The food quality was very good and service from the wait staff to the bartenders to the customer service area to the room service etc were all top notch.

Two rubs: one with Disney, one with people in general. First, with Disney. They have designated smoking areas but you can smoke on your veranda? If you were anywhere close to a smoker, you had to close your veranda door which took away from the experience at times. Next people and food. Just because it's included in the cruise price, you do not have to act as though you have not eaten in a week and mow through the buffet lines, all day ice cream and all day sodas...sad to see people act this way.

If we had younger kids, the characters and activities are really geared to the smaller kids but as I mentioned earlier , our kids had a blast. Nassau and Castaway Cay were also fun

Cabin Review

If you are traveling with kids, this room is worth the extra cost... Separate toilet/sink combo from another sink and shower.
